Pope Francis said: “Today, there are those who say that marriage is out of fashion; in a culture of relativism and the ephemeral, many preach the importance of ‘enjoying’ the moment. They say that it is not worth making a life-long commitment, making a definitive decision, ‘forever,’ because we do not know what tomorrow will bring.”
“I ask you, instead, to be revolutionaries, to swim against the tide; yes, I am asking you to rebel against this culture that sees everything as temporary and that ultimately believe that you are incapable of responsibility, that you are incapable of true love. I have confidence in you and I pray for you. Have the courage ‘to swim against the tide.’ Have the courage to be happy,” the Pope added.

Staying Still In Silence Before Jesus In The Blessed Sacrament Let's Us Perceive What He Wants From Us
It is by staying still, in silence, and possibly for long periods, before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, that we perceive what He wants from us, put aside our own plans to make way for His, and let God's light gradually penetrate the heart and heal it. - Fr. Cantalemessa

After Confession: He May Be Grey And Gouty; But He Is Only Five Minutes Old
...when
a Catholic comes from Confession, he does truly, by definition, step out again
into that dawn of his own beginning and look with new eyes across the world to
a Crystal Palace that is really of crystal. He believes that in that dim
corner, and in that brief ritual, God has really remade him in His own image.
He is now a new experiment of the Creator. He is as much a new experiment as he
was when he was really only five years old. He stands, as I said, in the white
light at the worthy beginning of the life of a man. The accumulations of time
can no longer terrify. He may be grey and gouty; but he is only five minutes
old. – G. K. Chesterton

St. Thomas From His Prison Cell
I will not mistrust Him, Meg, although I shall feel myself weakening and on the verge of being overcome with fear. I shall remember how St. Peter at a blast of wind began to sink because of his lack of faith, and I shall do as he did: call upon Christ and pray to Him for help. And then I trust He shall place His holy hand on me and in the stormy seas hold me up from drowning. - Saint Thomas More, from his prison cell

The Call To Martydom Of Witness Is Ever More Urgent
Given the breakdown in family life, the wholesale attack on innocent and defenseless human lives, and the violation of the integrity of the union of marriage in our society, the call to the martyrdom of witness is ever more urgent. - Cardinal Burke

There Are Going To Be A Lot Of 'Nice' People In Hell
'Nice' is a very trite word and there are going to be a lot of 'nice' people in Hell because they didn't want to stand up for anything; they just wanted to be nice. - Father Tony Stephens

How Many There Are Who Shrink From Whatever Requires Manhood
How many there are, who love to live delicately and shrink from whatever requires manhood. - Pope Leo XIII
The World Is Rotten Because Of Silence
Enough of exhortations to be silent! Cry out with a hundred thousand tongues; the world is rotten because of silence. - Saint Catherine of Siena

What Will my Father in Heaven Think?
You have no time to occupy your thoughts with complacency or or consideration of what others will think. Your business is simply, 'What will my Father in heaven think?' - Saint Katherine Drexel

Whoever Professes the Christian Religion Yet Professes it is Only a Subjective Truth is Not Worthy of the Name "Christian"
Whoever professes the Christian religion, yet in politics and daily life profess that it as only a subjective truth and that religion has no place outside of itself has lost their purity and is not worthy of the name 'Christian.' - Appian Nesbitt

Abuses Are Done Away With by Teaching Rather Than Commanding
Be assured that abuses are done away with by teaching rather than by commanding. If we make threats, let it be done sorrowfuly, in the words of Scripture, and in terms of the world to come. In this way it is not we who are feared because of our power, but God because of our words. - Saint Augustine

In My Time of Trial I Called Out to The Lord: He Listened, And Led me to Freedom
In my time of trial I called out to the Lord:
he listened, and led me to freedom.
The Lord is with me,
I will fear nothing that man can do.
The Lord, my help, is with me,
and I shall look down upon my enemies.
It is good to seek shelter in the Lord,
better than to trust in men.
It is good to seek shelter in the Lord,
better than to trust in the leaders of men.
- Psalm 117

The Lord, my help, is with me,

It is good to seek shelter in the Lord,

Patience Obtains All
Let nothing trouble you. Let nothing frighten you. Everything passes. God never changes. Patience obtains all. Whoever has God, wants for nothing. God alone is enough. - Saint Theresa of Avila (PoesÃas 30)

Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
